Everything You Need to Know
Simple care, clean ingredients, and a finish made for real wood.
01 What it restores
Wood Balm No. 524 is made to bring warmth, depth, and natural luster back to real wood. Use it on dry, dull, tired-looking wood surfaces that need conditioning, polishing, and protection.
It works especially well on furniture, cabinets, cutting boards, butcher blocks, antiques, wood decor, and everyday pieces that have lost some of their richness over time.
It will not cover damage like paint or stain. Instead, it helps revive the natural character of the wood you already have.
02 How to use the balm
Start with clean, dry wood. Apply a small amount of balm with a soft cloth or palm wax brush, working it into the surface in the direction of the grain.
Let it absorb for a few minutes, then buff away any excess with a clean cloth. A little goes a long way — start small and add more only where the wood needs it.
For best results, use on unfinished, oiled, waxed, or naturally worn wood surfaces. Always test in a small hidden area first, especially on antiques or delicate finishes.
03 When the brush helps
You can absolutely apply No. 524 with a soft cloth. The balm was made to be simple and practical for everyday wood care.
The palm wax brush is helpful when you want more control, more even coverage, or easier application on detailed wood surfaces. It works especially well on furniture edges, carved details, cabinets, chair legs, textured grain, and larger pieces where a cloth can feel less precise.
Choose a balm-only pack if you already have what you need. Choose a kit if you want the balm and brush together for a cleaner, more controlled application experience.
04 Compare your options
Choose the option that best fits your wood care routine.
1-Pack is best for getting started, trying No. 524 for the first time, or caring for a few favorite pieces.
2-Pack is a practical stock-up option for regular household use and multiple wood surfaces.
3-Pack is the best balm value if you care for wood often, have several pieces to maintain, or want extra jars on hand.
Home Care Kit includes two jars of balm plus the palm wax brush — a strong choice for most homes and regular wood care routines.
Whole Home Kit includes three jars of balm plus the brush — the most complete option for larger homes, frequent use, gifting, or keeping No. 524 ready whenever your wood needs attention.
05 What it’s made with
Wood Balm No. 524 is handmade in small batches with simple, certified organic ingredients: flaxseed oil, beeswax, and orange oil.
Flaxseed oil helps condition the wood. Beeswax helps add a soft protective finish. Orange oil gives the balm its clean, natural scent and helps support smooth application.
There are no synthetic fragrances, petroleum-based ingredients, or fillers — just a thoughtful formula made to care for real wood.
06 Where to use it
Use No. 524 on real wood pieces throughout your home, including furniture, cabinets, cutting boards, butcher blocks, wooden bowls, antiques, shelves, doors, trim, and decor.
It is especially useful anywhere wood looks dry, faded, or dull from everyday use.
Do not use it on painted surfaces, floors, sealed high-gloss finishes, or surfaces where added oil or wax is not recommended. When in doubt, test a small hidden area first.

Questions
Common Questions
A few helpful details before you bring your wood back to life.
How long does one jar last?
One 8 oz jar typically treats 8–12 pieces and can last 6–12 months for a typical household, depending on how often you use it and the size of the pieces you’re caring for.
Can I use it on cutting boards and kitchen wood?
Yes. No. 524 is made with food-safe ingredients and is a good fit for cutting boards, butcher blocks, wooden utensils, and other kitchen wood surfaces.
Will it remove scratches, stains, or water rings?
No. 524 helps restore moisture, richness, and luster to dry wood, but it is not a repair filler, stain remover, or repair product. Deep scratches, water rings, and damaged finishes may need sanding or repair first.
Is it safe around kids and pets?
Yes. Once applied, allowed to absorb, and buffed clean, No. 524 is designed for everyday wood surfaces around the home.
As with any wood care product, wipe away excess before use and keep the glass jar out of reach of children and pets to prevent breakage or accidental ingestion.
How often should I reapply it?
Reapply whenever the wood begins to look dry or dull. High-use surfaces may need more frequent care, while decorative pieces may only need occasional touch-ups.
Do I need the brush?
No. A soft cloth works beautifully. The brush simply gives you more control and even coverage, especially on larger surfaces, textured wood, carved details, and edges.
