Start with a clean, dry surface. Apply a small amount with a soft cloth or brush, working it into the wood. Let it absorb for a few minutes, then buff with a clean cloth.

One 8 oz jar typically treats 8–12 pieces and can last 6–12 months for a typical household, depending on how often you use it and the size of the pieces you’re caring for.

Can I use it on cutting boards and kitchen wood?

Yes. No. 524 is made with food-safe ingredients and is a good fit for cutting boards, butcher blocks, wooden utensils, and other kitchen wood surfaces.

Will it remove scratches, stains, or water rings?

No. 524 helps restore moisture, richness, and luster to dry wood, but it is not a repair filler, stain remover, or repair product. Deep scratches, water rings, and damaged finishes may need sanding or repair first.

Is it safe around kids and pets?

Yes. Once applied, allowed to absorb, and buffed clean, No. 524 is designed for everyday wood surfaces around the home.
As with any wood care product, wipe away excess before use and keep the glass jar out of reach of children and pets to prevent breakage or accidental ingestion.

How often should I reapply it?

Reapply whenever the wood begins to look dry or dull. High-use surfaces may need more frequent care, while decorative pieces may only need occasional touch-ups.

Do I need the brush?

No. A soft cloth works beautifully. The brush simply gives you more control and even coverage, especially on larger surfaces, textured wood, carved details, and edges.
