Product Guide

Everything You Need to Know

Simple care, clean ingredients, and a finish made for real wood.

01 What it helps with

The Premium Palm Wax Brush helps you apply Wood Balm No. 524 with more control, especially on wood surfaces where a cloth can feel less precise.
Use it on furniture edges, carved details, chair legs, cabinets, textured grain, antiques, and larger surfaces where even coverage matters.
It is not required to use No. 524, but it can make application cleaner, smoother, and easier.

02 How to use it

Start with clean, dry wood and a small amount of Wood Balm No. 524.
Load a light amount of balm onto the brush, then work it into the surface in the direction of the grain. Use gentle pressure and add more balm only where the wood needs it.
After application, buff away any excess with a clean cloth for a smooth, natural finish.

03 When a cloth is enough

A soft cloth works well for simple, flat surfaces and quick touch-ups.
If you are treating a small cutting board, a simple shelf, or a smooth tabletop, you may not need the brush.
The brush is best when you want more control, more even coverage, or easier application across detailed or larger wood pieces.

04 When the brush helps most

The brush is especially helpful on carved wood, textured grain, furniture legs, cabinet details, edges, corners, and larger surfaces.
It helps work the balm into places a cloth may glide over or miss.
For customers who care for wood regularly, it can make the process feel cleaner, faster, and more consistent.

05 How to care for the brush

After use, wipe away excess balm from the bristles with a clean cloth.
To help prevent the bristles from stiffening, clean the brush with warm water and a small amount of mild dish soap. Gently work the soap through the bristles, rinse well, and let the brush air dry completely before storing.
Avoid soaking the brush in water or using harsh cleaners. Because it is used with an oil-and-wax balm, the brush may naturally develop residue and patina over time.

06 Should I choose a kit instead?

Choose the standalone brush if you already have Wood Balm No. 524 and want more control during application.
Choose the Home Care Kit if you want two jars of balm plus the brush.
Choose the Whole Home Kit if you want three jars of balm plus the brush for more frequent or full-home wood care.
