A loved one remembered as part of the Arlington Woodworks story

In memory of my brother, whose passing became part of the grief, healing, and purpose behind Arlington Woodworks. Aaron's memory lives on in every jar we make.

Our Why

From Loss to Purpose

Arlington Woodworks was born from grief, healing, and a desire to honor the people who shaped my life.
In 2020, I lost my father. In 2021, my brother Aaron lost his battle with colon cancer. Those losses changed me in ways I never expected.
For a time, I struggled to find direction. Returning to the workshop became part of the healing process. Working with my hands, caring for real wood, and creating something honest helped me move forward one day at a time.
What began as a personal journey eventually became Arlington Woodworks.
Today, every jar of No. 524 represents something bigger than wood care. It represents stewardship, resilience, and the belief that the things we love should be cared for before they are lost.

Purpose Beyond the Workbench

Every Purchase Helps Carry the Mission Forward

Because our family has been touched by cancer, a portion of every purchase helps support cancer patients and their families.

When you support Arlington Woodworks, you're helping us care for both the furniture people love and the people who need it most.

Why we care for wood

The Things We Love Deserve More Than Replacement

Furniture is more than wood.
It's the dining table where birthdays are celebrated, the coffee table where families gather, and the heirlooms that connect generations.
Caring for these pieces isn't about perfection. It's about preserving the things that matter before time and neglect take their toll.

Why Regular Care Matters

Wood Doesn't Fail Overnight

Most wood damage happens gradually.
Dryness, fading, and wear often appear long before cracks, stains, or costly repairs.
A simple care routine helps protect the warmth, beauty, and character that made you love the piece in the first place.

01
Dryness Starts Quietly

Wood can look a little dull before it begins showing deeper signs of wear.

02
Repair Can Be Costly

Once wood cracks, splits, stains, or loses its finish, simple care may not be enough.

03
Monthly Care Helps

Nourish wood as part of your regular cleaning rhythm to help preserve warmth, depth, and beauty.

Monthly Wood Care

A Simple Monthly Routine for Real Wood

Caring for wood shouldn't feel like another household chore. No. 524 was designed to make regular maintenance simple—just a few minutes each month can help preserve the warmth and beauty of the pieces you use every day.

01 Why regular care matters

Wood is used, touched, cleaned, and exposed to dry indoor air every day. Over time, that can leave furniture, cabinets, cutting boards, and other wood pieces looking dull, dry, or lacking the warmth that made you love them in the first place.

Regular care helps keep wood nourished before dryness becomes harder to correct. No. 524 was made to be a simple maintenance step for the pieces you already own and want to keep beautiful.

02 How to use it

Let it absorb for a few minutes, then buff away any excess.

A little goes a long way.

03 When to reapply

For many households, monthly application is a good care rhythm. You can also reapply whenever wood starts to look dry, dull, or tired.

Think of it like regular care for the wood pieces you love — not a daily chore, and not something you have to wait to use until the wood looks neglected.

04 Where to use it

Use No. 524 on furniture, cutting boards, cabinets, butcher block, wood bowls, antiques, and everyday wood décor.

Customers use No. 524 on dining tables, cabinets, antiques, butcher blocks, cutting boards, and everyday wood furniture throughout the home.

Questions

Common Questions

A few helpful details before you bring your wood back to life.

How often should I use No. 524?

For many households, monthly application is a good care rhythm. You can also reapply whenever wood starts to look dry, dull, or tired. Use a thin layer, let it absorb, and buff away any excess.

Do I need to wait until my wood looks damaged?

No. In fact, No. 524 was designed to help care for wood before dryness becomes damage. Many customers use it as part of a simple monthly care routine to help maintain the warmth, depth, and character of the pieces they already love.

Can I use it on cutting boards and kitchen wood?

Yes. No. 524 is made with food-safe ingredients and is a good fit for cutting boards, butcher blocks, wooden utensils, and other kitchen wood surfaces.

What kinds of problems can No. 524 help with?

No. 524 helps restore moisture, warmth, and depth to dry wood. It may improve the appearance of light surface wear and some water marks, but it is not a wood filler, stain remover, or refinishing product. Think of it as regular care and nourishment for wood rather than a repair product.

Is it safe around kids and pets?

Yes. Once applied, allowed to absorb, and buffed clean, No. 524 is designed for everyday wood surfaces around the home.
As with any wood care product, wipe away excess before use and keep the glass jar out of reach of children and pets to prevent breakage or accidental ingestion.

Why does the Home Care Kit include two jars?

Most households have more wood surfaces than they initially realize. The Home Care Kit includes two jars of No. 524 and a premium application brush so you can care for dining tables, cabinets, cutting boards, antiques, and other wood pieces throughout your home. The brush is reusable for years while the balm is replenishable.

Beautiful Results

I had been looking for something to enhance and protect an antique table that had been used as a desktop. I believe it’s at least a hundred years old. Beautiful patina but unfinished wood. I needed something that was nontoxic and could be used indoors. This absolutely fit the bill. Easy to apply and wipe off, pleasant smell and food safe. Would definitely recommend.

So good!

I love using this product when I refinish furniture, specially inside drawers where the wood seems the driest! I also have used it in other various wood surfaces around my house and it quenches it and makes it look and smell fabulous!

Small Jar, Big Results

I’ve been using this wood balm regularly and I’m honestly impressed. A little goes a long way, and it really brings dry, tired wood back to life without leaving a heavy or greasy finish. I love how easy it is to apply—and how it enhances the natural look of the wood instead of masking it.

It’s become one of my go-to products, especially for refreshing drawer interiors and smaller details that people usually overlook. Definitely a staple in my workflow now. Highly recommend!
